The Oregon Dairy Council’s origins date back more than 100 years, to 1918, when the Council was created to advance the benefits of dairy nutrition. The Oregon Dairy Products Commission was created as part of the state commodity commission program in 1943. In 2016, the two brands merged to become the Oregon Dairy and Nutrition Council. Today, the Council continues to advance education about dairy nutrition and responsible production, innovation in processing and packaging and works across a range of partners throughout the state to improve access to local dairy foods and champion Oregon’s thriving dairy industry.
